Cache-Aware Prompts: Treating Prompts Like Build Artifacts
Most teams edit prompts in a web console and pay full price on every call. The cheaper path is to pin them, diff them and measure cache hits like any other build artifact.
Prompt engineering is not where the savings live anymore — the savings live in whether your prompt prefix is byte-stable enough that the provider can skip recomputing it on the next call.
